English Way of Santiago
Free departures, minimum 2 participants.
Departure from Italy to Santiago with Iberia, Vueling or another IATA carrier. Arrival in Santiago de Compostela and baggage collection. Transfer by private car to Ferrol (96 km). Delivery of the 'Credential'. Free dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. The Camino Inglés starts in Ferrol, on the Curuxeiras pier, crosses the city and continues along the river towards a placid path with almost no irregularities, for pedestrian walks and enjoying a beautiful view. From Fene we will pass the low-altitude mountains that separate the estuaries of Ferrol and Ares, to end the day in the historic city of Pontedeume. Free dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Unlike the previous stages, we will have to travel very steep paths. However, the beauty of the Atlantic forest and the medieval villages through which we will travel
it will undoubtedly compensate for the effort we will have to make. Like Pontedeume, Betanzos awaits us protected within its ancient walls, declared a historic artistic complex near the rest of the historic center. Overnight.
Breakfast. In this journey, each stage is added in kilometers as much as in difficulty. We leave the urban centers behind to enter the Atlantic and the internal landscape, accompanying us at all times with forests and fragments of horses, pines, “bidueiros”. Unlike the previous days, we will have to provide ourselves well at the Betanzos exit as we will travel
several kilometers with the only company of nature. Free dinner. Overnight.
Breakfast. Compared to the previous stage we will cover the approximately twenty-five kilometers that separate the Bruma from Sigüeiro mainly descending from the dirt and asphalted road, with a multitude of services available for pilgrims along the Way. We are already very close to the capital of Compostela and this is evident both in the influx of pilgrims and in the number of oriented structures
towards them. Overnight.
Breakfast. Last stop on the English Way, we can almost see the towers of the Cathedral, which is only about four hours away. To access the city we will have to cross an industrial area, but the spectacular city of Compostela will encourage us in these last meters to finally reach the long-awaited Cathedral and the fascinating old city that surrounds it. Already inside the Cathedral you have to go to the crypt where the sepulcher of Santiago is located and follow one of the most significant traditions ... the hug to the Saint. Free dinner. Overnight.
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport in time for the return flight to Italy. Our journey ends with the hope that this experience has given you unique and inimitable emotions for the mind and body. Have a good return ...
